St. Philip Basilica High School Gaels Alumni Association

Our Member Services

Communication with & service to our alumni, is the backbone of our alumni association's purpose, and keeping the lines of communication open and alive, is what we are all about.

Still Alive & Kickin'

Although our school has been closed, since 1970, our alumni association is now, and has been alive and functional throughout the years.

The early years...

This image, reflects the early years of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, which we were associated with throughout our history.

OLS Interior

The beautiful, ornate interior of Our Lady of Sorrows Basilica was both moving & inspirational.

OLS National Shrine

The National Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows, was our "special" place of comfort & reflection.

St. Philip High School

Our school has a long & proud heritage, dating back to 1904, when the Servite Fathers established a school for boys, at the rear of the monastery & adjacent to the church.

St. Philip High School

The school building was finally ready in 1910, and opened its doors for the first time. Our school building (shown here), stayed with us throughout the years, until its closing in 1970.

St. Philip High School

The St. Philip High School building still stands today, at 3141 West Jackson Boulevard, just as it did when we attended. After the closing, in 1970, it was first occupied by OLS Elementary School & then a charter school.

Gaels Athletics

The Gaels, early in their history, were members, of the Cook County League, for only one year, and captured the league's 1911 baseball championship, before the league dissolved.

The CCL baseball title, was vacated, due to the use of 1911 players, (shown here), some of whom were also professionals.

Annual Banquet

Each year, the alumni association conducts an gathering of faculty, staff, former students, sons & friends of St. Philip Basilica High School, to renew & foster the continued camaraderie we've all enjoyed throughout the years.

Our Services

Newest Services

Find a Gael

Quite frequently, we receive requests for information about graduates, with whom our members have lost touch. Our "Lost & Found" page is used frequently, throughout the year, by alumni who have found us, before we can find them. Additionally, we conduct our own online searches for information about graduates for whom we have incorrect, incomplete or no contact information at all. Effective with our new web site, you'll be able to request contact information about other Gaels, for whom we have current contact information, or request an online search for them, using our "Find a Gael" page.

Class List Requests

Often, as we are in the process of planning for an upcoming banquet, we receive requests for a class list, from an alumnus who wants to attempt to contact fellow classmates, to encourage them to attend the banquet. Although our lists are grossly incomplete and sometimes inaccurate, we can provide them to alumni who want to help "Pack the place." Now, with the help of a simple online "Class List Request Form," we can provide what we currently have in our master listing, and perhaps you too, can help us to update your class list for future banquets.

Online Credit Card Acceptance

The online reservation process has begun (always open & live, 24/7), we frequently receive calls from alumni, who want to know "where" they enter their credit card information, to pay for their dinner ticket. Until now, we were unable to accept online credit card payments for banquet tickets, due to drawbacks resulting from our older web design technology. With the implementation of our "newly" redeveloped web site, and the help of Alumnus Tony Gallo, Class of 1968, we are now capable of handling online credit card payments, conveniently and 100% securely. Once you submit your express or standard reservation, you'll be re-directed to the appropriate "confirmation page," where you'll find a "Pay Online Now" button that will take you directly to our secure "shopping cart," where you'll be able to pay for your ticket, safely, securely & conveniently.

Sustaining Membership

Sustaining members provide the necessary financial resources to support our efforts to sustain our continued operation, by attending our Annual Banquet, for one or more years. In return, we demonstrate our appreciation, by listing their attendance on our "Sustaining Membership" page.

There are three levels of "Sustaining Membership," Silver, Gold & Platinum. For more information about our "Sustaining Membership," please visit our "Sustaining Membership" page.
