Throughout the years, most of us have been called something other than our given name, and, on occasion, we’ve been referred to as a “Son of a Something or other.”

Ever since our school closed in 1970, our numbers have been growing smaller, as our brother Gaels have passed on, but our ties to each other and the camaraderie we’ve shared has remained as strong as ever. Given this unique bond that we share, it’s been suggested several times, that we find a way to pass it on to our sons, grandsons and great-grandsons.

In recent years, several sons of alumni have attended our dinner, and expressed their amazement over how close we’ve all remained, without the benefit of the continued existence of our school. Consequently, we’ve decided to extend to our sons, grandsons and great-grandsons, the opportunity to share that bond with us and each other, by establishing the “Sons of the Gaels.”

Now moms, wives, girlfriends or anyone else, can refer to them as a “Son of a Gael,” and they can reply “I am, and I’m darn proud of it!”

The “Sons of the Gaels” are invited to enjoy our camaraderie at our Annual Banquet, and perhaps they can assist us in organizing and planning other activities, that will keep the bond strong until long after the last of us are gone.

To register your son (s), grandson (s) or great-grandson (s) as a “Son of a Gael,” simply complete the information in the form below, or on the reverse of our "Sons of the Gaels" announcement, included with your mailing. If you did not receive an announcement, simply click here to download it. You can then either mail it with your banquet payment, or bring it with you to the banquet. If they’d like to attend this year’s banquet, simply make a reservation and submit payment for them in the same manner you do for yourself.

It is our sincere hope, that they’ll be willing and able to carry-on for us well into the future, and continue to share what it really means to be a Gael and now, the “Son of a Gael!”

Please use the "Return to the form" link at the bottom of this page, and do not use the "BACK" button on your browser, to "toggle" back and forth between the form and the confirmation, as this will "re-send" the information each time you toggle back to the confirmation page.

You will need to submit this form once, for each person being registered.
